Beach Diving is the most economical, most convenient, and most environmentally-friendly way of enjoying the sport of scuba diving. Experienced beach divers know that nearly any type of diving site that can be visited from a boat, including wrecks and some of the best reefs, can be reached from shore. All you need to know are some basic skills and tips on gear and techniques. We’ll cover information like that, plus practice entry, surface approaches, exit techniques, dive planning, and safety practices. Divers of all skill levels are welcome to participate because buddies helping buddies is a great way to learn. We invite those who never beach dove to really consider joining us because this FREE training is specially designed for you. We’ll move at your pace and practice what you need to learn most to begin enjoying the best type of diving in South Florida. We’ll meet at the Datura St. benches after checking in at Gold Coast Scuba because all we need to cover can be done there and in the surf. Parking is likely to be challenging, so we might have to coordinate some ride-sharing from the shop. Come with your gear ready to dive. If you need any additional items, Gold Coast Scuba should have most anything on hand.
**All attendees need to sign a waiver at our location. Must also have dive certification & lobster licenses if hunting.
